Programs for Scouts and Birthday Parties:

In accordance with Scout Handbook requirements we offer a program for the Rider's Badge.
This is a hour and a half program during which scouts learn basics of horse communication, anatomy of the horse, basic horse care, history of horse and mankind, and an overview of riding disciplines. Scouts then will learn how to properly groom a horse and basic safety around horses. They may be requested to “assist” with care of horses from feeding, to cleaning tack, to watering the horses.
There will be a 25 minute riding session for each scout. They will be placed in groups depending on the size of the group and the general ages within the group. Therefore the ride may be individual or in a group session if the instruction deems it safe. During the riding session the scouts will learn how to mount and dismount their horse, walk, stop, and back up their horse, as well as steering them around ranch obstacles. This badge program is directed by our very own Eagle Scout.
Reservations are available for after school or weekends or even during the school holidays. Cost is $35 per scout. To reserve, just call to secure your date & time and place a $200 deposit on the reservation.
Birthday Parties:
Contact us for birthday parties. We can host or bring the horses to you if we deem the venue safe for humans and the horses, is legal, and meets with our insurance requirements.
Some of the birthday parties we have held in the past include:
Party at the Ranch: We supply the horses, riding activities, and offer a picnic area near the riding area for cake and refreshments. Prices from $25 per person depending on time requested.
Party at Mt. Madonna: You set up the party area at one of the many private amphitheaters. Amphitheaters are covered with tables, barbeque pits, nearby restrooms, and nearby running water. We will bring the horses to you and provide a 25 minute ride to each party goer. Party goers are welcome to assist us with grooming the horses, providing them with their treats (under direct supervision) and we will be available to answer questions and provide horse trivia. Prices from $25 per person depending on time requested. Fuel surcharge of $30.
Your deposit is your reservation. You may pay either by cash or check.
Full payment must be received one week in advance of reservation. If you add or delete one or two children from your reservation, please let us know 24 hours in advance and we will adjust the fee accordingly. Please see our policies page for additional information
